Can anyone tell me how to do this??? I know all the ramifications. I do not want to pay for support just to have them tell me I can't. And I also do not believe there is NO WAY to do this. I have tried every F10 combination of tricks out there and I just cannot get the advanced tab to show.
The reason I am asking is because HP, in all their infinite wisdom, hid some very important Thunderbolt settings in the advanced tab which need to be updated in order to get the Thunderbolt to work properly with a Thunderbolt dock (including HP's docks).
If you want to learn more, here is my original thread: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Boot-and-Lockup/Unlock-Advanced-Bios-for-Thunderbolt-3-for-G2...
And here is the thread from HP showing how to change the Thunderbold settings in the bios (I guess they forgot they locked up the Advanced tab - doh!): https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06383177
The Omen has a Thunderbolt 3 with Displayport capabilities and should support the G2 and other docks, but the permissions must be changed, and they must be changed in Advanced Bios.
So frustrating... you'd think they'd at least offer a patch or something if they won't let you unlock it... but again, there HAS to be a way to do this!
