Spectre x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

What does 3 blinks of power light mean for spectre x360? Laptop doesn't respond to anything but having the power light blink 3 times when I tried to power it back up. It hasn't been charging so I followed some suggestions including updating the BIOS. But then I couldn't coz' the power level was too low. So I just shut that down but never power back up (only that 3 blinks again). Anything I can do before it's completely drained. But really, what does that 3 blinks mean? Looks like many people have that problem but I wasn't able to find a post that explains what that means.

@2BT Welcome to HP Forums Community!

The power light blinking represents faulty power cord/adapter, to verify, I suggest you run a test using the steps in this link: Click here

Meanwhile, Have you attempted to connect the device to an alternate power cord or adapter?

Or check with another wall outlet, excluding any surge protectors to check if it works?

Let me know how that pans out,

Thanks. I know I have a functioning power adapter as it can charge another HP PC without an issue. No other luck yet.

Actually related to my other post. Somehow it was able to fire up but still not charging. It's now at 6% so it's likely to die soon. Ran a battery test to reveal that it's not 'seeing' the power adapter BUT that power adapter is a good one coz' it can charge another HP PC with no problem. See pic of battery test result and any suggestions?

@2BT I'm glad you took my suggestions under consideration and went through then, since the adapter/charger works fine on another device and yet doesn't work on this device, it seems to be a hardware malfunction and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options:

follow the below steps to get started:

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on "Continue as guest".

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, is yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

@2BT Considering the fact that the adapter charges another device and yet doesn't charge yours could mean that the charging port is faulty and requires a repair/replacement,
