Product: Hp laptop 15s

When i turn it on for the fierst time it has a boot up free dos failure and then goes to a black screen with C:\>

You do know that FreeDOS is a command line OS, right?  It is not Windows and is not a graphical OS. So, all you will get is a command line when it starts.

 

To see what version of FreeDOS you are running, enter the following:  ver /v
