My laptop didn't come with a ssd as it wasn't configured like that. It takes like 2 minutes to boot fully and it is bottle necking the system. I want a 960 or 970 as a boot drive. Preferably Samsung as they have the great cloning software. Or is there another way to clone.

Your notebook supports M.2 PCIe NVMe (TLC) solid state drives.

 

There are indeed Samsung 960 and 970 drives that would be perfect for your upgrade desire.
