Hi there,
I'm in a dodgy situation because I need a solution really fast because a client is waiting. Why can't I enable Fast Boot? It says that if you have security theft password set on or something about BIOS users I cannot enable Fast Boot. But I tried changing security settings countless times and to no avail, the option stays greyed out whereas I cannot even select it, it's just disabled. PLS HELP!

Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
I read your post about enabling Fast Boot and wanted to help.
To begin, let's make sure we are both talking about the same thing.
There is Fast Boot and there is Fast Startup -- and these are not the same.
The first is a UEFI boot option; the second is a Windows 10 hibernation option.
To set the first, here are directions from the Win10 community forums: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/21284-fast-boot-enable-uefi-firmware-settings-windows-8-10-a.html
If your PC has BIOS, not UEFI, then Fast Book is most likely, not available.
Good Luck
