HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-e2000 (2J4V9AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I own the following machine: HP 15.6" 15s-eq2003np R5 12GB 512GB Radeon W11.

I added 16GB of memory (replaced 4GB) and a 1TB NVMe SSD (replaced 512GB),

Memory and SSD have the same speed and characteristics.

Everything working fine except Windows restart brings me to a black screen and is not working.

It looks like it's shuting down ok  but then the reboot fails.

If I shutdown and then press the power button, it's working fine, the problem is just with the windows restart command, however when I boot into linux, restart is working without issues.

Any ideas why this is happening?
I also would like to know if there is a way to access BIOS advanced settings, I tried several combination of keys, but none is working, BIOS is FW 1.8.
Thanks in advance

If you really need to access the Advanced tab in the BIOS, there are many methods you can at least try out.

  1. Boot up your computer. When you see the startup logo screen, press CTRL+F10 and then CTRL+F11 to get into the BIOS. (It only works for some computer and you may need to try it for a few times until you get in).
  2. Boot up your computer and then press the F8, F9, F10 or Del key to get in to BIOS. Then quickly press the A key to show the Advanced settings.
  3. In the BIOS, press Fn+Tab for 3 times.

If you find the Advanced settings tab missing in the BIOS, that is because your manufacturer has locked the settings on your computer as the improper use of the Advanced settings in BIOS could damage your computer, and in most cases there is no way to unlock it.
