I bought HP 250 G5. Notebook have not windows.
It include FreeDos. There is a paper in the notebook's box. It says " Your device does not support Win8 or Win7. In accordance with Microsoft's support policy, Hp does not support the Win8 or Win7 operating System on this product or provide any win8 or win7 drivers on http://www.hp...."
Then I tried to boot win7 ultimate on my device. Installation was opened, but then installation gave a problem that " a required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disc, CD, DVD, or USB Flash drive, please insert it now.
If the installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for this step." and i could not install win7. Can you give an advice to solve this problem. Do I have to install Windows 10? Or I cannot install any windows version on my device?

Hi:
See if running this tool will allow you to install W7.
If your notebook is one of those with the new 7th generation core processors, there are no W7 graphics drivers. You would have to modify the W10 driver for the graphics to work.
There is a readme link which provides instructions for how to use the tool. Download the file for the applicable operating system you plan to run the tool on.

This is not a HP limitation. Microsoft will not support the new Kaby Lake platforms for any other OS but W10, and Intel did not develop any major drivers for it such as the graphics.
