Hi, new here, got some great advice but failed to fix, tried to connect with CS but line is down now. Thought someone else might have a fix. Have tried F8 and F11 and everything in between. works up to loading the files and then it freezes. In Bios which boot should be first? The DVD or the hard drive?
Thanks!

If you're trying to do some kind of restore and it fails on loading files, the restores source (i.e. Recovery partition) could be corrupted or the hard drive could be failing.
If you're trying to boot from a DVD, then it should be first in the boot sequence; otherwise, it will try to boot from the hard drive.
So, are you trying to do an install, or reinstall, from media in the DVD? Or, are you trying to do a System Recovery?

Hi there WAWOOD, thank you for connecting to help! I am actually trying to boot to Windows 7 start up. I have tried with the F2 and F11 also F8 and everything starts but nothing follows through to load the files needed to start. It is like something has blocked that from happening. I had a bleeping (literally 🙂 glitch happen right before the shut off happened that would not go away so I shut down manually and then I could not re~start. I went to Bios and I am not trying to boot from a DVD but in Bios it says that I am which makes me think this might be where the glitch is. I haven't tried to change it to the hard drive....should I do this? Also, When I am on the safe mode page and try to start normally it goes to the flying windows but in a while the screen turns a light blue and stays there till I shut it off.

Sorry, I don't know specifically what you mean by "Windows 7 Startup"
The different function keys you mention have nothing to do with Windows, so if they don't work, something else is at issue.
The Win7 "shutdown issue" is now a KNOWN problem with Win7 and MS supposedly issued a Windows Update to address that. You would have to download and install that update to fix your shutdown issue.
HOW doe the BIOS say you are trying to boot from a DVD? IF you have that set first in the boot device order, the PC will AUTOMATICALLY try to boot from any DVD you have loaded. That is usually the best order because it allows you to boot from a DVD when needed. So, to boot from the HDD, simply remove any DVD.
From your description about the screen turning blue, is there any Stop Code on the screen, or is it simply blank?

Wow, I just lost a whole page of what happens when here and all I can say is , no I am just trying to get past the Start Windows and use the computer. In the BIOS the Boot page says 1st Boot Device - CD-ROM Group, 2nd BD is HDD Group, 3rd is Floopy Not Installed and the 4th is Network Realtek. I am not trying to start it from a disc. Just trying to find out why nothing will launch like the start up repair. Is there any info I can give you that might be a cause for black screen?
