Hi @Mi55ia

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

May i know the beep pattern ?

Step 1: Identify the Beep Code

  • Count the beeps: Pay attention to the pattern of the beeps (e.g., one long beep, followed by two short beeps, etc.). This pattern will help you identify what the issue is.
  • Note the sequence: The number and length of the beeps can indicate specific hardware problems such as RAM, motherboard, or CPU issues.

Common HP BIOS Beep Codes:

  • 1 short beep: No issues (successful POST).
  • 1 long, 2 short beeps: Graphics (GPU) issue.
  • 2 long, 1 short beep: Memory (RAM) issue.
  • Continuous beeps: Power supply or motherboard issue.
  • 4 short beeps: System board failure.

Step 2: Perform Basic Hardware Checks

Power Cycle:

  • Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
  • Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds to discharge any residual power.
  • Reconnect the power and try turning it on again.

Reseat RAM:

  • If you’re comfortable opening the laptop, reseat or reinstall the RAM modules to ensure they are properly seated in their slots. Sometimes loose RAM can cause boot issues and beeps.
  • If your laptop has more than one RAM stick, try booting with just one stick at a time to see if one of them is faulty.

Disconnect External Devices:

  • Unplug any external peripherals (USB devices, external monitors, printers) to rule out any conflicts.

Check the Power Adapter and Battery:

  • Ensure your power adapter is working properly and supplying enough power to the laptop.
  • If the laptop powers on with the battery removed but not with it inserted, the battery may be faulty.

Step 3: Check for Specific Hardware Issues Based on Beep Code

Graphics Issue (1 long, 2 short beeps):

  • This suggests an issue with the GPU or the integrated graphics.
  • Try connecting to an external monitor to see if you get any display.
  • If using a dedicated GPU, check if it is seated properly (if removable).

RAM Issue (2 long, 1 short beep):

  • Try reseating the RAM or replacing it with a known working module.
  • Run a memory test (if you manage to get the PC to boot) to check for faulty RAM.

System Board Failure (4 short beeps):

  • This typically indicates a problem with the motherboard itself. If reseating the components doesn't help, you may need to consult a technician to replace the motherboard.

Step 4: Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

If the laptop turns on but the screen is blank or the issue persists:

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. **Turn it on and immediately press the Esc key repeatedly to access the Startup Menu.
  3. Select F2 to run the HP Hardware Diagnostics.
  4. Run the System Test to check for hardware issues, particularly the Memory and CPU tests.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
