The computer was purchased 5 weeks ago from Currys. Charger developed a fault and presumably the battery was drained. HP are in sending a replacement charger but in the meantime I bought a charger which claimed to be compatible. When attached, the power indicator flashes orange - a regular pulse - but the machine still won't turn on. I've tried all the recommended solutions - holding down the power button, win plus c etc. - I can't take out the battery because it's internal and I'll invalidate the warranty. G

Hi @Almcd1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
In this situation, I will suggest you wait for the replacement charger or you will need some additional support from our internal teams in HP. For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.
Please check your inbox on the forums page for private message.
If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Further to the above, still no resolution. Five promises of lead supply broken. Two wrong leads sent. Now I'm told by a customer contact that HP can't help. A £1,000 plus PC ceases to function after 5 weeks. Over a month of false assurances. And now they wash their hands of it. I'm at my wit's end here. Looks like my only options are legal action and attempting to secure some bad publicity. I'm stunned by the lack of customer care.

The matter has been resolved by someone other than HP. This dishonourable company has, I believe deliberately, misled me for three months and has refused to take responsibility for a completely new, expensive laptop. I will never buy an HP product again and will advise all my friends and acquaintances to take the same position. In a long career, I have never encountered a company with such a disgraceful attitude to people who have bought it's products in good faith.
