Hello,

I want to upgrade my xw8200 win7 64bit to win10 64bit.

to do so i learnt i first need to update the bios to version 2.28 before upgrade is possible.

Where can i find this bios update?

Hi:

 

The latest BIOS update HP has for your PC is version 2.10 dated October of 2006.

 

It's listed under the Windows XP driver section.

 

HP xw8200 Workstation Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support

 

Just to let you know that Microsoft closed the loophole that allowed users to continue to get the free upgrade from W7/W8/W8.1 to W10 last year.

 

The free upgrade period officially ended in July of 2016.

 

So, if you upgrade to W10, you will have to pay for a W10 license and product key unless you have an unused key to activate Windows with.

 

Windows 10 goes out of support in October of 2025.
