ZBook 14
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

We have a number of ZBook 14 laptops. Recently two users upon reboot accepted the on-line BIOS update being offered. The BIOS was updated to version 01.44. After this, upon restart a password is required: needless to say, we had no BIOS password set.

Entering no password results in the message 'BIOS Manager password required' and the laptop is locked. The only way forward is to reboot, and the story repeats.

Anybody who has seen the same and could suggest a solution?

Regards, Giuseppe

Unfortunately, I have seen this reported by members on occasion. It is beyond the scope of help we can give on the forum. You will have to contact HP for help with it.

Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
