Every time I turn on my computer it asks for a bitlocker recovery code and I am not sure why

Hello,

In the first instance, please follow the instructions in the Microsoft link: Finding your BitLocker recovery key in Windows.
 
If this does not work, please use HP Cloud Recovery Tool to create HP system recovery media for reinstall Windows on your PC.
