as title says it suddenly had a problem and now suddenly is says boot device not found and won't start,

I tried all diagnostic tests through the bot and nothing fixed it,

One thing is I did a memory check via the bios but it freezes at 23% despite leaving it for over an hour but it never progresses beyond 23%, the basic hard drive check found no errors

it is only a couple of months out of warranty very upset

@PhilK1983

Diagnostics don't fix anything; they only tell you what is wrong.

I've never actually seen a memory check freeze -- so my guess is that the memory stick being checked has gone bad.

There are generally two drive checks, quick and extensive -- you have to run both to be sure.

will run the proper extensive tests then to be sure, but sounds like if I want it fixed then it needs to go into repairs sadly either via HP or independent store
