how to set up an automatic Windows backup drive installation in a situation that Windows crashes. On an old HP laptop that arrived with Windows 7, I installed Windows 11. Viruses regularly cause my computer to malfunction, and I have problems utilizing a pen drive to reinstall Windows.

A PC that came with Win7 originally is NOT going to pass the hardware checks to install Windows 11 -- so you must have used some "hacking" approach to load it -- and we do not provide support for running Win11 on incompatible hardware -- this is something you do at your own risk.
As to "automatic Windows backup installation" -- I don't know what you mean by this, as Windows has no automatic backup function. You can do that Manually in the newer versions of Windows 11, but I'm not aware of any way to automate that. Even if you have a "recovery drive", that still is not automatic and you have to manually select it to do a recovery.
