how to upgrade the bios

Hello,

I have a compaq precario cq42 135tu laptop and it has a F04 bios version. I want to upgrade it so can you gusy tell me how to?

And I want to sure that if I upgrade my bios in my loptop it wont delete any programme?

Here is the link to latest BIOS update for your PC:

You can download and then double-click on the file to install. Follow the intructions once (double-clicked). You will not loose any programs. Here is link to all the other drivers:

I have done what you said and  naw it wants current bios id and version how can i get this? and what should i put in the new bios id and  version please help me with this
