Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My hp envy m6-w103dx, is not booting up. Charging light is on (where adapter plug into laptop), but nothing on screen and Fan doesn't turn on. When i keep the power button pressed for long, charging light goes off and then come back again after a second, so something is happening and its not completely dead.

Opened the cover and checked RAM and CMOS battery and tried rebooting after removing the CMOS button cell, as recommended at some places...but didn't helped.

There is no sound and no display , no Fan etc

Any suggestion...what else can be checked ?

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  • Step 1: Perform a hard reset
  • Step 2: Restore BIOS default settings
  • Step 3: Test the hard drive using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics
  • Step 4: Reseat the hard drive
  • Step 5: Perform an HP System Recovery
  • Click here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01443463 to complete the troubleshooting steps.
