Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Please help.  My laptop fell off my desk.  Then it started to not boot, very intermittently.  The power would go on but the screen would be black. I have to remove the battery, plug in the power cord, and keep rebooting until it finally boots and then boots Windows. Then I get a screen that says CMOS checksum error.  How can this be fixed or is the hardware broken? Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

Hi Betty, thank you very much for helping me. I haven't had a chance to try the solution.  I apologize.  I'm working from home and I work in health care and I just got too tired.  I will try this as soon as I have a chance.  I appreciate your help and your replying to me so quickly.  I can give you a personal email address if you would like to reach out to me directly.  I have had lots of trouble with my Notebook computer so this would be great if it works!!! Thank you!!

I trust you.  I'm just careful.  I promise to try as soon as I can.  I greatly appreciate your help with this issue and your courtesy.  It's great that HP has a representative that helps this way.  Thanks!
