My hp laptop is only 4 years old and normally runs perfectly fine. I was using it the other day like any other time and put it to sleep. When I went to use it a few days later, it wouldn't turn on. No lights or anything would come up anywhere on the laptop. I looked up support forms and tried the whole take the battery out, power button down for 60 seconds, put in charger and try to power up and it didn't work. No lights still come on.

AC adapter cord looks fine, everything looks fine. So I ordered a new AC adapter just in case but it won't get here till next week. Is there anything else I could try in the meantime? Is this a system/hardware problem?

Hello, @netflixandchill – Hope you are well 🙂

Thanks for joining HP Support Forums. I'm glad to be of your assistance!

Going through the post, I understand that the laptop is not turning on. Are you getting any noise from the laptop or are there any LED lights blinking? If so, try to connect the PC to an alternate monitor to make sure the issue is not with the display.

Check the steps listed here: http://hp.care/2ohS3qh

If the issue persists, then please contact the HP phone support to get the PC service options.

HP Technical Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: http://h22207.www2.hp.com/us-en/?openCLC=true

Cheers 🙂

No lights or sounds come from the computer at all. It does nothing. I’ve tried a hard reset, I’ve tried using different plugs. Nothing works.
