Hi everybody.
My laptop freezes from time to time; WI-FI internet connection unstable;
Sometimes a number of desktop icons are displayed inside the black squares;
A copy and paste option frequently does not work;
On connection a USB device, it pretends that two identical disks are connected instead of the presented one;
A week ago the laptop produced continuous humming sound and stopped responding to pressing the buttons and continued doing that until the battery got empty.
Yesterday, the Windows OS did not asked me for entering my pin code or fingerprint in order to let me use the laptop,
in spite of this security settings were previously done, hence mandatory was required on every system start. Later on the computer had turned off on its own and did not respond to the power button for several hours. I found that on touch the laptop had got very very hot on the bottom side (on left area opposite to DWD-Rom) and was remained hot for up to 4 hours. So, when I could manage to switch the laptop on again, I found its battery was completely drained out, although before that was connected to the mains through the AC adaptor and its charge must be full. In January 2020 this machine suddenly switched off itself and did not responded to power buttons for 3 days but later on it switched on as usual. The laptop is still on manufacturer's warranty. Any advice what to do?
Thank you.

My HP ENVY - 17-ce0014na laptop spent one day in repair service and returned back with a new battery. So, I was told that all aforementioned problems were related to the bad battery. However, the new battery has
- Design Capacity: 4550 mAh
- Full Charge Capacity: 4473 mAh (98%) only !!! I had followed the HP guidance how to calibrate the battery up to 3 cycles but all stays the same. Also, I have checked if the battery settings is in the BIOS but there is no option for that. So, I am worrying whether the new battery normal or yet defective?
The previous battery which was replaced for the new one had:
- Design Capacity: 4560 mAh
- Full Charge Capacity:4729 mAh(100%) passed 7 cycles
Thanks

You are welcome.
I cannot answer the question about the battery.
My assumption, based on what you say, is that the battery works.
The two-percentage points do not "register" on my personal panic scale.
What?!
I just replaced a five year old battery in my Zbook > new battery is "OK" and fluctuates between 98% and 95%.
Sure, it would be nice if the replacement battery charged and stayed at the 100% marker.
I don't care much that it does not do so.
I'm not the one to ask, in other words.
What to do?
