If your computer is still running Windows XP, it probably was "fast" when it was brand-new.

But, Windows XP achieved its "sunset" in April 2014 -- more than 7 years ago.

Any new computer that you purchase will be much faster. 

Maybe, wait for computers with Windows 11 pre-installed (probably around Xmas 2021), to be "future-proof".
