HP Pavilion 17-ab007nc
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had a USB port on my laptop. after the motherboard is replaced, the HDMI port is not available and the second graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce) is not visible on the device. Within the BIOS, the F.39 version is factory-loaded. It is possible to upload the previous version of F.38 to the motherboard. Or is it possible that a new faulty motherboard was provided? Repairs are carried out by an HP Authorized Service in the Czech Republic. Thank you for your help

Thanks for the information. BIOS I uploaded, now I have a version (F.42-11 / 03/2017), HDMI is still not going and NVIDIA is writing to me NVIDIA has not been detected on your system. And one more observation, sometimes not a keyboard and a touchpad. It will help another restart. Thank you and have a nice day

Hi @mz311858,

As I understand you have updated the Bios to the latest version and still having the issue with the display. Don't worry as I have a few steps which should help you resolve this issue.

For now please try these steps:

  • Right-Click on start button> click device manager> expand display adapters>then select the display drivers that are listed and right-click on it and uninstall the drivers.
  • Check the box that states delete the software for this device.
  • Then restart the computer and update the bios chipset and graphic drivers from this link:  https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers  after selecting the correct Operating system.

Also, download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.

Refer this link to know how to use HP support assistant.

If the issue persists, I would suggest once again go ahead and uninstall the both the display drivers from Device manager and then restart the computer and then install the graphics card drivers from the Manufacturer's website.

If it still does not fix the issue, please perform the relevant steps for HDMI related issues from this link: HP PCs - Troubleshooting HDMI Display and Sound Issues (Windows 10, 8, 7) regarding video issues. If there is no hardware issue with the computer, this should do the trick for you.

Alternatively, you could try using a different HDMI cable and check if that helps.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!

Eagerly waiting for your response!

I hope you have a good day ahead,

And Feel free to ask your queries as this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.
