I tried everything you mentioned. Either the battery is dead, 958 days old, and I just got it 3 days ago, or there's no battery in it. I'm not taking it apart to check as that will void warranty.  The laptop was built in 2020, sitting for 3 years. I processed a return for a refund. Sorry, but I'm done with HP.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

Thank you Sandy, I appreciate your feedback. I returned the laptop 2 weeks ago and still waiting for my refund. Unfortunately, I didn't realize I was buying from a 3rd party, I should have gone directly to the HP website. Lesson learned.

I have gone a different direction, hopefully I'll see a refund soon. Thank you. Jeff
