Could someone be so kind to help me get one of these POS HP laptops working either model# HP Laptop da0073wm or 15-1033wm, please? I bought the da0073wm in crisis mode from Walmart for $500+ my primary Asus ROG 17" 751jy went down with screen issues. The HP da0073wm only lasted no more than 2 months and somehow the OS got disappeared and it would not boot ever again. I bought another monitor and went back to using my big rig with a monitor and put the HP aside and forgot about it for almost a year and half. Now from time to time I have been pulling it out and trying to solve the issue with no success and it is way out of warranty. The time has come and gone for any warranty claim even though if you could read the hour meter it would read 2 months. I cannot believe I bought that thing almost two years ago. someone please helps me get this thing up and running. I got to use it about 2 months and that is it, it is basically brand new. I expected to use it longer because I went ahead and opted for the i7 processor w/ ddr4 RAM and all this ddr3 ram laying around here is doing me no good. I think I payed for windows and that it should be supported on any devices that it comes on for the duration of the time you own it if it is still somewhat relevant and MS is pushing out security updates. My daughter gave me an HP laptop to fix for her and it has the same exact error and boot problem, is that a coincidence or is this a regular issue with HP laptops? I would love to speak with someone in tech support because these POS machines are brand new and new. I think if I make it or these machines makes it out of this issue alive and not in pieces I do not know if I will ever buy an HP product the ever again just on principle. I’ve own(ed) 4 HP printers ,not bad, my current one is a 8610 Officejet Pro, and I have two 15 inch laptops model #’s 15da0073wm(2 months old), 15-1033wm(age?, out of warranty) with the same issue” Boot drive not found” “Please install an operating system on your Hard disk” “Hard disk (3F0) for 15-1033wm . Now on model da0073wm after disabling secure boot I am black screened with ”no bootable device – insert boot disk and press any key” on my “new” HP machine. Please help and Thanks for listening. Peace.

Hello
you can try to understand what happened to the disk inside your computers if you have a bootable USB-Key with WinPE.
I have WinPE in a USB Key with Windows installation files.
you have still have in your home at leats one computer working , with Windows, you can go at this Microsoft link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
This will let you create a bootable USB Key.
Leave SecureBoot enabled in notebook BIOS setting.
When you created the USB Key, you can boot from it at when you arrive at installation Windows , if you press SHift+F10, you get a Command Prompt.
IN CMD promt , you can type:
Diskpart (this start a disk utility)
list disk
if you see disk 0 and disk 1 in the list , like in the picture below
you can type
Sel dis 0
lis par
Sel dis 1
lis par
and check if there are partitions on the disk.
bye
