help! When I restart and boot from normal mode, there is no option to log in, like not even icons. In safe mode it works fine though. Can anyone help?

I left the laptop overnight, and when I saw it this morning. It worked fine. No idea what happened. Thanks for the help anyway.

Boot into Safe Mode and run System Restore. Choose a date before the problem started.

Can you give me the keystrokes? Do the system restore days have to be manually loaded beforehand?

In Safe Mode go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools- System Restore. It will open up and show you all restore points you have available.
