Product: hp mini 1000
I have forgot my password. When I turn it on it says enter enter current password I enter what I thought was my password 3 times and in the end it says password check failed fatal error system halted cnu9142q9h. Please help

See if this works...
Use your unlock passcode to enter the BIOS
Go to the security menu
Disable all passwords that are enabled
If asked for current password - type your unlock passcode.
For new password, just press ENTER key
Repeat the same for verify password column.
Then leave the BIOS by saving & exit option to save the changes.

I have another problem. The code u have me worked but I restored the computer because it said the app resolution was to low so I figured it was the Windows updates. But when I did it took me off the computer and left me with the old owners log it with password. How do I get past this.
