My notebook recently has an issue where I turn it on, and it displays an error message stating "Boot Device not found". I then ran an extensive test on the hard drive, and received the error message, "WARNING", for the Long DST. What exactly happened to my hard drive, and how can this be fixed?

Greetings @CarlosDeLa14,
Welcome to HP Forums and thanks for the post.
I see you are getting a error message saying boot device not found and Kudos to you for running the test.
The error you are getting indicates that the hard drive it not getting detected correctly and will need to be replaced. However, if you have a recovery kit for the compter, you can try to boot the computer to the recovery manager and try to reset it. But when you get this error, recovery or repair might not work.
Refer to this article http://hp.care/2fFuo0t for assistance in using recovery manager.
Hope this answered your concern.
