Need to know how to change boot sequence to work with DVD to load OS of choice.

What version of Linux Mint or Ubuntu have you tried and are you happy with results?

Does yours work with a touch screen?

I don't have a touch screen type laptop.

Try ESC and F9 for boot options.

OR

 You may have a BIOS similar to mine.
