I bought an old presario from a recycler & was bummed to see pw prompt for the bios come up. My error code is 14041

That old notebook might be a tough one to crack.

 

Try this yourself:

Go to this link...http://www.biospassword.net/

Enter your fail code and hit the Compute button. Each time it will generate a new key, one of which might work.

The generic one worked for my presario v3000 ... I wasn't using this machine for very long and forgot the password ... now I wanted to donate this to a school for special needs kids ... thanx to you that I could open it up ... now will clean things and give to school
