hi. i have updated bios version to f.09

after that does not work. i have tried many solutions. but they didn't work. it seems i should rollback bios version to f.08

but i can't find that version. i will be happy if anyone can help me to solve the problem.

Let’s go through a structured approach to restore functionality:

 

Step 1: Confirm Windows Touch Settings

  • Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  • Go to Bluetooth & devices > Touch.
  • Ensure Touchscreen is enabled.
  • If the option is missing, it indicates the driver is not loading correctly.

 

Step 2: Reinstall Touchscreen Driver

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Human Interface Devices.
  • Look for HID-compliant touch screen.
  • If present, right‑click and choose Uninstall device.
  • Restart your laptop—Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.
  • If missing, download the driver from your model’s support page:

Step 3: Update Chipset and Graphics Drivers

  • Go to the HP driver page for your exact model.
  • Install the latest chipset and graphics drivers.
  • These updates often restore communication between the BIOS and touchscreen hardware.

 

Step 4: Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

  • Restart your laptop and press F2 repeatedly to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
  • Select Component Tests > Touchscreen.
  • Run the test to confirm whether the panel is detected.

Step 5: Recover BIOS

  • If the touchscreen still does not respond, you may need to roll back to the previous BIOS version.
  • Visit your model’s driver page and check under BIOS for older versions.
  • Download the earlier BIOS (such as F.08 if available).
  • Run the installer from Windows or create a BIOS recovery USB using HP’s instructions:
