I don't have a disc of windows, nor the means to get a USB or another pc to get another copy. I'm a college student and I need my computer to start working again, there's no reason it should do this after 2 weeks of MODERATE use. please help.

Try a System Recovery:

If no joy-contact HP Support for warranty service.They should be able to send out Recovery Media:

You could create a Windows 10 on usb flash drive using the free Download tool at MS and try to Repair:

Immediately after powering on start tapping the Esc key. This will open a menu where F2 System Diagnostics is an option. Tap F2 key and run the tests.
