hi.i have the same problem with my probook 470 G1 = haswell i5 4200M with integrated intel hd 4600 and dedicated amd radeon 8750M.problem is that all games runs only with integrated hd 4600(checked in benchmark output files).i tried everything = latest drivers for both GCs,high performance mode in CCC,NB plugged in power source without battery...one positive is that all games have got up to 31 fps with highest settings (GTA IV,F1 2012) but i am afraid that will be not enough for later games
any ideas how to solve it??pls

Hello ano456
I'm sorry to hear that you also expericence problems.
Quote "but i am afraid that will be not enough for later games"
I'm sorry to tell you but the HD8750M is a Class 2 notebook videocard.
This means that it is suitable for a bit gaming but not on the max details.
The probook isn't designed to be a gaming laptop this is a laptop for business users so don't expect world class performance from this model.
HOWEVER!
The HD8750M should give you better performance (Read: twice as fast) as which you are now experiencing so i dicided to do a little research for you.
This is what you should be able to play once it works correct :
http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD-8750M.87147.0.html
So i decided to do more research.
This came out: the problems you are currently eperiencing is becouse AMD and not HP didn't create proper drivers.
This means that the videocard can't play Open GL based games.
HOWEVER!
HP is not free becouse they could push AMD but somehow they don't
(Don't shoot the messneger which is me)
So this is what i am sugessing:
Try the following: (I know it's not for your model but i will give you the correct link for yours later on.)
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02948560
If you have read the above link then you should know that you need to update your bios.
To do this you need to give me your product number:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108
(When you give me the product number I can find the exact model of your laptop so i can provide good support.)
Do not update your probook untill i found the correct bios, you could brick your laptop.
Once updated please post your results so i can continue my search if this is not working.

^don't worry.i know it.i am playing games only in free time so i don't need to play games on "ultra high mega" settings :smileyhappy:.
i started solving my problem which i thought would be solved in article "OpenGL Applications Cannot Use Discrete GPU" that you posted, but my NB wasn't included.therefore i would be pleased if you could find bios for my NB.product number is: E9Y68EA#BCM.
thx.

Sorry i don't mean to start a war about my knowledge of country names.
But anyway here is the bios:
If this is not the language please tell me that i need the other one 😉
Update it in steps so from 0.01 to 0.02 not from 0.02 to 0.01
(Yes i did that once.....)

Simple question: can you set the games manual to directx in stead of openGL or CL?
And did you tried the rest of the options rom the document which i sent to you?
