Я не могу найти полные характеристики своей материнской платы: HP Model 8478 (U3E1).

Модель ноутбука HP Pavilion Gaming laptop Model HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop Model 15-cx0113ur

И меня интересует какой интерфейс подключения поддерживает слом  M2

Your notebook supports M2 PCIe NVMe SSD. So, something like the Samsung 970 Evo or Adata sx8200 would be great.

You can choose your preferred brand and there is no limit to capacity.

On page 45 of service manual you can see the steps to install the drive

You will need to move the OS or reinstall the OS on the SSD. It will give a great boost to the everyday performance of the notebook.

Вы уверенны что именно моя модель поддерживает PCI Express ?

И если да то какой?

PCI Express 3.0 х4 ?

PCI-Express 4.0 x4 ?

It supports NVMe PCIe 3.0x4 but also 4.0x4 will work as they are backward compatible.

The best would be the Samsung 970 Evo Plus.
