Need to find a replacement screen and as usual bloody HP have changed from standard screen size to the narrower 300mm width, as usual HP thanks a bunch. Why do you make it so **bleep** hard to source replacement parts.... WHY???
Lets face it, the choiuce of standard 13.3 screens is not exactly limited now is it, so why do you insist on making a bloody model withan almost unique screen size which offers NO actual in use benefit to the user?
It couldn't possibly be because you want to limit user repairability and hold onto market share just a bit longer, could it...
Go on HP justify this design choice, tell me it's superior because???
Tell me it couldnt possibly have used a standard size screen, when you did after all use a standard 30 pin connector!!
rant over...

Which one of these?
FHD, UWVA, 220 nits, slim L37352-001
FHD, UWVA, 300 nits, uslim L37353-001
I assume you need the uslim
If you need the other one let us know as it is likely available.
Your rant is interesting but the audience is largely fellow end users. Several other laptop makers use this ultraslim 13.3 inch screen, by the way. But yes, the industry in general is making it harder and harder to source replacement parts.
Please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.

Thanks, I dont know if that's a correct screen as it doesn't detail the frame size on the listing but I'll contact them to see. Note the price though for a screen replacement.
Yes it was a rant and it does make me very cross that companys are making it harder to repair and replace parts in a time when we should surely be making easy to repair.
just for future ref how did you come up with that search term/specification?

That is your part if you have the 300 nit version of the screen. Its the thinner bezel. I found the Service Manual for the model and found the HP Part number and searched amazon and eBay and a couple European parts houses for the part and there you see it. I used to source replacement parts for a computer repair shop so been doing this a long time.

Thank you, I checked with them and they said it's a 305mm width screen but were able to supply the right size screen assembly based on the screen model number which doesn't show up in any searches I've run.... The screen width on mine is definitely 300mm though not 305mm or 306mm...
They are sending it now so I'll let you know and keep your fingers crossed.. and do tell where you found the service manual, they are wonderful..
