Here is the Service Manual:
There are alternate motherboards but they would cost much more than the laptop originally cost. Money would be better spent on a different laptop. I believe on your model the eMMC module is in lieu of an M.2 slot or the M.2 slot is disabled.
The Service Manual does not show what the eMMC module looks like. However this service video shows at about 1:07 that the place where an M.2 connector would be located does not have the connector. That tells me your eMMC is soldered on and not upgradeable. If you want to double check you can use this video to disassemble;

There is no adapter or any other place to put a storage disk.

Unfortunately, what you want to do is not possible.
There is no M.2 slot and even if there was, the notebook will only boot from the eMMC drive.
There are no provisions to add a 2.5" SATA drive and again, even if there was, the drive could only be used for storage.
You can buy a SD card for extra storage like I did for my HP Stream 11 Pro G4 which as a 64 GB eMMC drive.
