Hello, I just purchased this laptop and it has a 64 gb flash Emmc.  I know this is permanently soldered to the board. In the manual it says there might be a m2 expansion slot. Does anyone know if I can add an ADDITIONAL SSD to this particular model?

Hi:

I'm afraid that is a very hard question to answer and here's why.

There are no exclusions in the service manual, but what we know based on posts from other forum members with the notebooks with the eMMC drives is this...

Most of them don't come with a M.2 slot.

If they do come with a M.2 slot, on a few models the slot is disabled.  May as well not even be there.

On others, the slot works but only supports SATA M.2 SSD's not NVMe.

So, the only advice I can offer would be to open up the notebook and if there is a M.2 slot present, buy a SATA M.2 SSD (I recommend one of the Western Digital Blue SA510 models) and hope it works.
