Pavilion Gaming 15 Laptop (15-EC0013DX)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Pavilion 15 Gaming Laptop (15-EC0013DX).  It has two memory slots and comes with 8 GB RAM.  The maintenance manual has conflicting info.  It says "Supports up to 32 GB maximum system memory" but the configurations it lists only go up to 16GB:

  • 16 GB x1, or 8 x 2
  • 12 GB via 8x1 + 4x1
  • 8 GB x1

Can I put in two 16 GB modules or can I put in a 16 GB module in addition to the 8 GB I have?

Hi:

Below is the link to the Crucial memory report for your notebook.

It does support 2 x 16 GB of memory.

Sometimes the HP manuals are not completely accurate, and leave out some info, such as not listing the 2 x 16 GB memory configuration, but stating that 32 GB is supported.
