Dear CS,

1)I'd like to know if this notebook has m.2 ssd drive

2)If yes, can I add a m.2 ssd without invalidate the warranty?

3) can I remove the bottom cover without invalidate the warranty?

Thank you very much

Hi,

Manual: Page 2, 18, 33
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05117922

Yes it can be upgraded to accommodate 2280 M.2 SATA-3 or 2280 M.2 PCIe 3x4SS NVMe TLC SSD. Go through the pages I referred.

It comes with 1TB 2.5 inch hard drive from factory

Putting in M.2 SSD needs major disassembly and it'll void warranty if you break something in the process of disassembly or upgrade.

FRU remove replace: https://h20574.www2.hp.com/results.htm?SID=10862166&MEID=9E11075D-744F-4986-ACA1-547A14CA1B03

Get help from certified HP technician if you're within warranty.

See if they do it for you.

Create Recovery USB before doing any upgrade.

tank you very much for you quick reply!
it's confermed: it supports ssd m.2 drive.
now the question is: are you really sure that 15-BC019-NL supports NVME m.2 ssd?
I red the manual you linked me but I noticed it refers to general model 15-BC000.
Are you sure it is valid also for 15-BC019-NL?

thanks in advance

I buoght m.2 nvme corsair MP500 248GB and you were right: it boots correctly!

I faced a problem, I noticed general slow speed.
boot takes about 15-18 seconds in a clean Windows 10 installation (only avast antivirus installed)
load applications e file copy it's not so quick as it should
m. 2 sata Samsung 850evo is faster in any operations.
chrystalmark shows good values with mp500: 1400mb/s read and 900mb/s write

what do you suggest me to do?
have i to return mp500 and buy 850evo?
thank you very much

I prefer Samsung EVO.
