15-eg1053CL Product number 4S171UA SPPT 1y1y0y
Product name HP Pavilion Laptop 15-eg1053cl
I have this laptop that has been pretty reliable.
As of late the network WiFi adapter is missing when it boots up. Turn off [NOT REBOOT] and the driver is there no problem.
Other times when you hit the space bar to log on the machine blue screens with no real info on the crash. Widgets or something.
The real problem that has caused me to write here is the sp#### drivers for Bluetooth and Network both need updated.
I run them and a directory is created in swsetup\. But the drivers never install. i cannot find any switches that indicate feedback for install. The install.cmd's don't do more than make a blue circle for a second.
Is it not possible to maintain a machine after the short warranty period? This box has a lot of life left in it.

These are the latest Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers HP has for the MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 MT7921 wifi adapter:
MediaTek Wireless LAN Driver
MT7921 Driver, version 3.0.1.1317 November 22, 2023
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp150001-150500/sp150316.exe
MediaTek Bluetooth Driver
2.22.0.33
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp150001-150500/sp150375.exe
If the drivers don't install automatically, you should be able to manually install the drivers from the device manager.
To do that, for the Mediatek Wi-Fi adapter, go to the device manager.
Click to expand the Network adapters device manager category.
Click on the Mediatek Wi-Fi adapter.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Upate driver.
Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp150316.
Make sure that the include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
Then do the same thing for the Mediatek Bluetooth adapter which will be found under the Bluetooth device manager category and browse to C:\SWSetup\sp150375.
