15s-fq2002nl
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello. I have purchased a Hp laptop 15s-fq2002nl. I believe the motherboard is a HP 87FE. It is using an Intel Iris Xe Graphics card.  I am wondering if its possible with this model to upgrade the ram as it is only 8gb through third party installers.  Or am I out of luck and are the components soldered.

I have tried google for but wasn't able to find any specific answers.

I am not totally tech savvy, so apologies if my queries may come off as clumsy. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Hi,

yes it is possible to upgrade all the way to 64GB of DDR4 2666MHz RAM (2x32GB)

at the moment you have 2x4GB modules. So you could replace with 2x8GB or more

Example

https://it.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/hp-15s-fq2002nl#memory

On page 31 of service manual you can see the steps to replace the RAM

Hope it helps,

David
