17-by3465ng only 360p instead of 720p Webcam?

Hi, i have buyed a new 17-by3465ng which should have a 720p Webcam but it looks like that i have only 360p Webcam.

In the Microsoft Camera App i can only choose 0,3MP/360P max.

In the Decive Manager the cam is recognized as "HP Webcam" 

Hardware ID:USB\VID_0408&PID_5321&REV_0014&MI_00

Any Ideas?

I reviewed your post and I understand that the webcam resolution is showing only 360P.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

to find the resolution setting for the webcam on your HP computer.

After taking a picture or video and saving it (or you may use a previously saved picture or video taken with your webcam), use the following steps to determine the webcam resolution.

1. in File Explorer, navigate to the picture or video.

2. Right-click the picture or video.

3. Click Properties.

4. Select the Details tab and see the webcam resolution.

Hi, yes it's only 640x480.. crazy stuff selling a notebook with that poor Quality in 2020 instead of the promised 720p quality. I think i will send it back and buy a Lenovo or Dell instead.

That's the maximum resolution supported by the webcam. Alternately, you can use an external webcam if you are looking for better quality.
