Hello, I hope someone can help me.
Laptop HP Pavilion 14-al111la, SN [edited]
Question 1: Wifi upgrade
My current Wifi card is a Realtek RTL8723BE (802.11 bgn). This is a slow card, I found on the web the Maintenance and Service Guide for my laptop and I found the following compatible Wifi Cards:
Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi M.2 Combo Adapter (part number 792608-005)
Intel 3165NGWG 1 ac 1×1 + Bluetooth 4.0 LE PCIe+USB NGFF 2230 Combo Adapter (part number 806723-005)
Assembly WLAN 11AC+Bluetooth 1x1 3168.NGWG M.2 MOW (part number 863934-855)
I don't know why my current card is not on the list (because it should be), so my question is: can I upgrade to the Intel 3165 or 3168 card? Both of them are wireless-ac, faster than my current slow 802.11 bgn.. and the Broadcom card. Which one is better?
Question 2: Screen upgrade
My current screen resolution is only 1366x768, non-TouchScreen. I also found on the same Service Guide the Full HD screen, 1920x1080 and Touchscreen display panel (part number 847662-001). Can I upgrade to that screen? I know this is a little hard to do, but I have done this before on other computers. If my computer can't be upgraded to a TouchScreen panel, can I upgrade it to the 1920x1080 non-TouchScreen display panel (part number 847660-001)?
Thank you very much.
Daniel

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand you need upgrade information,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Did you know that HP provides the maintenance guide as informational data for all models under your HP Pavilion 14 series?
That said, I'm afraid you cannot upgrade a 1366x768 display to a 1920x1080 screen as it isn't supported or recommended by HP, if you need help in upgrading the wireless card, you may do so using the tested and approved cards that you have listed on your post.
For additional information on what would be faster than the other, you may want to check the manufacturer site of the wireless card and compare it to the preferences that suit your needs.
I hope my information is useful, I'm afraid providing any more information would be out of my support boundaries.
Keep me posted for any other assistance though,
And If the information I've provided was helpful,
give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Good Luck.
