Hello, I’m having an issue with my HP laptop’s RAM configuration. I have two 8GB 3200MHz RAM sticks installed, filling both RAM slots. However, in the system properties and Task Manager, only one of the RAM sticks (8GB) is detected. This means my total memory is showing as 8GB instead of 16GB.

When I checked using CPU-Z, both slots are recognized, and it shows that both RAM sticks are installed and running. I can see the specific details like the RAM names, MHz speed, and overall capacity in CPU-Z, which suggests it’s unlikely to be a hardware issue. If it were, the RAM wouldn’t be detected at all, and these details wouldn’t show up.

Troubleshooting steps I’ve tried:

  1. Reseated the RAM sticks.
  2. Updated the BIOS.
  3. Ran diagnostics but didn’t find any issues.

Any suggestions on how to get my laptop to recognize both RAM sticks fully would be appreciated!

Thank you!
