My son's Spectre 360 has an issue where the hard drive has gone "missing" - it says no hard drive installed. Since the computer is over a year old (bought in April 2019), I took it to a repair guy who opened it and tells me that the fans aren't working, it's super-hot, and that's what killed my hard drive. My son keeps the computer on his desk at all times - I don't understand how both fans would stop working. Any ideas? How can I fix this?
It very much feels like something that HP should help me with. This is not just a small thing five years later - this is a total failure of the computer.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
I appreciate your efforts to try and isolate the issue. This sounds like hardware related issue with the fan and in order to fix this issue, your computer needs to be serviced. As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.
I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options in order to diagnose the computer physically. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
