Bought an HP USB-Video-C-Dockingstation G4 (HSTNH-U601) without Power Cord.
Used a 90W cable, but the dock did not do anything. Including no light for power on. The cable is ok.
Then used a HP TPN-CA03 200W cable and everything works.
But, is there any possible danger using this combi?
And why is the dock not working with the recommended power cord?
Connected devices:
Laptop via USB-C HP 15,6 Zoll Notebook ProBook 455 G6 Ryzen 7 16GB RAM 512GB SSD...
USB Stick for mouse
USB Stick for keyboard
HP Display via Display-Port
USB connection to Game-Controller
Everything works. Only want to know if the 200W are too much.

One possible solution.
The non hp power cord is not compatible.
The middle pin is missing. So the dock did not recognise the cord.
Will have a look for an original one when the question about the 200W cord is answered.
