Hello,
I stopped using my computer about a year ago due to the right hinge breaking off of the the frame. Every time I opened it the gap got wider and wider, it made a terrible cracking sound, and then screws started falling out. The computer came from COSTCO but is no longer under warranty as I waited too long to research fixes on this problem. I see now that others have had this problem but not sure if HP is still providing free fix for out of warranty laptops. We were loyal HP customers as this computer was purchased in 2019 to replace a 2012 HP computer. I am now back to using that old, heavy, and outdated 2012 computer because I cant open the newer computer without increasing the damage.
I have looked at YouTube 'fixes' but the receptacles for the screws are no longer attached to the body of the computer. Can anyone help with a suggestion. Thank you!!
