I purchased my spectre in September of 2018 and have had two device malfunctions that require send in repair by HP, and now I'm experiencing a continuous blue screen "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR" that is only leading to more error codes. I spoke with multiple HP agents and worked with them to fix the issue and finally was told that the error required my computer to be sent in for fixing. Since the laptop is out of warranty, the repair is an estimated $550 that I am expected to cover if I want a properly working laptop. With that price point being about a quarter of the price of the computer, there is no justification I can think of to pay it. Instead, now I have to look to another manufacturer to find another computer to replace my newish laptop that I have taken great care of.
HP's phone service was very helpful, but very disappointing when I found out that I was expected to pay for an issue that stems from the manufacture's hardware.
