HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 Laptop Core i7-8550U - 2LV24UA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I own a 2018 x360 spectre 2-in-1 that has suddenly stopped working.

I get no charger indicator light when it is plugged in (I have tested with two known good chargers) and nothing has seemed to help.

I've tried all of the steps I was able to find: unplugging the battery & draining the caps, BIOS reset, replacing the AC input cable and jack.

At this point I am out of ideas and options I feel comfortable with trying myself.

After removing the SSD to retrieve my files (approx 1 month after I had given up hope) the computer turned on successfully one last time while the SSD was removed.

Does anyone know what this may point to? Can a bad cap come 'alive' once more after resting and does this help to narrow down my potential issue?

Also, what does a replacement mobo for this device cost?

Thanks for your time and assistance!

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. This sounds like hardware related issue with the system board and in order to fix this issue, your computer needs to be serviced.  As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.
