Hi!
My laptop:
Product
A1L77av
Model
DV7t-6c00
decided to mess up on me and had to start from scratch by installing a fresh copy of windows7. I would have thought this was going to be an easy process, but have been struggling to figure out how to make it work as new. My graphics cards aren’t working properly and have not been able to find the right drivers for several issues. Missing the finger scanner feature and my top buttons are not working for increasing the brightness or music etc. I am wondering if anyone can point me the right direction to get this fixed myself. I was also wondering if upgrading the software would help since it would have online support? If anything my last resort would be to send it back to Hp and have them deal with it hopefully.
Thank you for your time.

Hi:
The parts list for your notebook indicates that it comes with the Intel/AMD switchable graphics adapters.
You need this one driver for that configuration, which will install both the AMD and Intel graphics adapters.

For any other drivers you may need, you can get them from your notebook's support page at the link below...

Thanks for the quick response!
I had already tried installing the drivers provided by Hp, sorry for not including that info, and graphics card are still not working. Also installed the other drivers with not much success either. Only one that has worked so far is the finger scanner. According to my receipt my laptop has a 2GB AMD RADEON (Tm) HD 7690M GDDR5 Discrete graphics
but my Device Manager
has it listed as a AMD Radeon HD 6700M series
Hope this information helps, and thank you for your time.

You're very welcome.
When I look at the parts list for your notebook's product number, there is a different specification for the AMD graphics adapter that came with the motherboard than what is shown on your receipt.
665991-001 | System Board PCA HM65 6770/2G QUA- DSC |
So it appears that as far as the parts list is concerned, that the driver installed the correct graphics adapter, and I would conclude that the graphics adapter model information on your receipt is incorrect.
If there are any other devices that need drivers, please post the hardware ID's for them so I can figure out what drivers you need.
