250 G8: how to connect screen through USB c ?

Hi i write to inform you that I was able to use the Kensington docking station, to make it work, I entered the Bios, Configuration section, "Built-in Device Option", "restrict Usb Devices" and I changed to "Allow all but storage devices and hubs "so my docking started working, the docking model connects with USB 3.0

I have connected an Icy Box DK2102-C which does not operate the duplicate second screen connected via VGA so what is the USB C port?  USB 1, USB 2 or a type of USB 3 and if so, which.  The sign next to the port seems to indicate that it's not USB C as it has the typical 3 branches ending in round dots.

The online spec for this laptop says it's  SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate1 (Data Transfer Only) so does that mean it won't support a second screen at all (data transfer only) , either via a dock or directly (although there's only a direct HDMI connector and my screen is VGA only)?

I thought my Icy Box replicator DK 2102-C would do this, should it work or do I need to by something else?  At the moment I can't get it to work, e.g. using the windows button then P to press the duplicate screen option and there's nowhere to save the selected option (W10)

Will my Icy Box DK2101-C do ?  I can't get it to recognise the second duplicate screen in W10 display settings and the option won't save anywhere either.

That item costs half the price of the new laptop !!  Is there something cheaper which will work if my Icy Box DK2102-C won't ?

thanks for help, the offical support told me that there is no chance that on this notebook will work any docking station. If bought the HP USB-C / A G2 Docking station and it works 🙂

The IcyBox IB-DK2251AC works great with the 250 G8.

I'm using it with 2 Displays (HDMI).

Display Link Driver is needed.

Install the Driver before you plug in the IcyBox.

Charging the 250 8G over th USB C - Port is not possible.

Could you confirm Docking Station G2 working on 250 G8?

I haven't found any model working on this laptop. I have tried with Kesington, Dell and some other DisplayLink driver based devices and no luck yet.

I can't confirm Docking Station G2 working on 250 G8 beacuse it wasn't available for months.

So I bought the IcyBox (see below) which works great with the 250 G8.
